Future king takes firm stance as royal family demands action over ongoing controversy involving the Duke of York.
King Charles is said to be under growing pressure from within his own family after Prince William and senior royals reportedly made a key demand amid renewed scrutiny of the Duke of York.
The latest scandal surrounding Prince Andrew’s alleged links and the resurfacing of emails related to Jeffrey Epstein has reignited public outrage and placed the monarchy in a difficult position. Many within the royal circle believe the time has come for decisive action.
Royal commentator Hilary Fordwich told Fox News that “mounting media outrage is threatening the reputation of the monarchy,” and added that the situation has caused deep frustration among senior family members.
According to Fordwich, Prince William is “actively lobbying” his father to completely distance the royal family from his uncle. “He wants Andrew banned from all family gatherings and is determined to see his titles removed once he becomes king,” she said.
Buckingham Palace has declined to comment on the matter, reiterating that the Duke of York is no longer a working royal. However, reports suggest King Charles has already asked Andrew and Sarah Ferguson not to attend the royal family’s Christmas celebrations at Sandringham this year.
As calls intensify for further action, questions remain about whether Andrew will be allowed to keep his remaining titles—a decision that could test King Charles’s resolve and the unity of the royal family.
