William and Catherine Turn Family Quiz Nights into a Royal Tradition

The Prince and Princess of Wales are sharing their love of trivia with their children in friendly pub competitions.

Prince William and Catherine have found a fun way to mix family time with a little friendly competition — by teaming up with their children for local pub quizzes.

According to The Sun, the Prince and Princess of Wales have created their own family quiz team, with George, 12, and Charlotte, 10, joining them at a nearby pub close to one of their royal residences. Their youngest, Louis, 7, hasn’t joined in yet, but it’s only a matter of time.

A fellow quiz-goer told the outlet, “The quiz is actually very tricky but also a lot of fun. My lips are sealed on whether ‘Team Wales’ has ever won first prize.”

William, who recently joked in an Apple TV+ chat with Eugene Levy that he’s “not the strongest” in history — admitting George is already “way better” — reportedly shines when it comes to sports rounds. The future king’s football knowledge even impressed fans during a TNT Sports appearance ahead of last season’s Champions League match between Aston Villa and PSG.

Trivia has long been part of the couple’s life. Both William and Catherine studied at the University of St Andrews, where their shared love of learning blossomed, and they often joined pub quizzes during their early years of marriage in Wales. Catherine’s mother, Carole Middleton, also kept the tradition alive by hosting virtual quizzes during the lockdowns.

Now, with George and Charlotte joining in, it seems the family’s love of trivia has become more than just a pastime — it’s a royal tradition in the making.
