Harry hopes for a family of five, but Meghan is focused on work and their children
Harry may be thinking about adding another baby to the family, but Meghan Markle isn’t planning for that right now. She is concentrating on her projects and on raising Archie and Lilibet, rather than thinking about another pregnancy.
Friends say Meghan has her reasons. At the moment she wants to secure her family’s future and is putting her energy into new deals and opportunities while they are available. Some royal commentators have tried to link her decision to supposed tension in the marriage, but her friends dismiss this and say she simply feels her family is complete.
One friend said Meghan believes another baby would distract her from the goals she is working towards and that her current family already fits the life she imagined.
Talk about a third baby grew after a light moment on her Netflix series With Love, Meghan. While chatting with Chrissy Teigen and making flower jewellery for their children, Meghan joked about the idea of a “secret child,” but it was clearly a playful remark.
Harry has spoken in the past about family size, saying one or two children is usually enough, although he knows families with many more. Even so, he has hinted he could imagine having more children himself.
Some commentators insist the couple should focus on strengthening their relationship before making any major decisions about expanding their family. Friends close to them, however, say the pair are simply making choices that fit their priorities right now.
