Royal couple confirmed for special joint appearance
Kensington Palace has confirmed that William and Catherine will make a joint appearance at the Royal Variety Performance, a welcome update for followers of the Wales family. Their spokesperson announced on 17 November that the future King and Queen will attend the event at the Royal Albert Hall in Kensington, London.
This year’s show will be hosted by Jason Manford and will feature performances by Jessie J, Harry Moulding and several other artists. The programme will also celebrate the 40th anniversary of Les Misérables, a landmark moment for the musical.
The Royal Variety Charity, which supports people who have worked in the entertainment industry, recently launched a dedicated team focused on mental health support. The appearance will be William and Catherine’s first major joint outing since they were seen at the Cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday.
The couple have also begun a new stage in their family life after moving into Forest Lodge, which has been described as their long-term home.
