Former Duchess once floated the idea of a Netflix documentary while distancing herself from tell all royal dramas
A resurfaced interview has reignited speculation about Sarah Ferguson’s next move, with the former Duchess of York previously admitting she was open to making a documentary one day.
Speaking in a 2023 interview, Sarah shared her enthusiasm for Netflix and said the idea of creating a documentary appealed to her. She described herself as an avid viewer of the platform and suggested that, at some point, she could see herself stepping into that space.
At the same time, she was careful to draw a line between her own interests and the high profile royal series made by Harry and Meghan Markle. Sarah stressed she would not want to be pushed into a guided or confessional format, making it clear she was not interested in a tell all approach.
Back then, she was juggling her work as a novelist alongside private charity efforts. Since then, renewed scrutiny over past associations linked to her and her former husband Andrew has reportedly led to the loss of several projects, putting her finances under pressure.
Separate reports now claim that, with limited income coming in, Sarah may be reconsidering her options. One source alleged she is open to writing a memoir about her life with Andrew and her treatment by the Royal Family after their split. The same source claimed she has kept extensive diaries and would be willing to share her experiences for the right price.
According to those reports, Sarah is said to be aiming for a figure in the region of £10 million, hoping to secure a comfortable financial future and remaining open to offers as she weighs her next steps.
