Andrew has reportedly made a big decision about his future as he prepares to leave Royal Lodge and move into a much smaller home.
A friend of the former royal said he has chosen to “get on with his life” and plans to move out sooner than expected. Sources claim he wants to start afresh by the end of the month, or at least before his birthday in February.
“He’s finally decided he needs to move on with his life and so is leaving sooner than planned,” a source said. “He wants a fresh start by the end of the month, or before his birthday.”
The insider added that Andrew and Sarah will also begin living separate lives for the first time in nearly 20 years.
“Apart from involvement with their children and grandchildren, they will go their own separate ways,” the source explained.
Despite losing his royal titles and being ordered to vacate Royal Lodge, insiders say little has changed in how Andrew lives day to day. Behind closed doors, he is still said to enjoy a comfortable and privileged lifestyle.
“Public anger won’t be about the titles he has lost, but about the privileges he continues to enjoy out of sight,” a source told OK! Magazine. “The indulgence is still there, it’s just been pushed into the shadows.”
The source claimed Andrew still carries himself with a strong sense of entitlement.
“He expects constant service and special treatment, no matter the cost. Rather than stepping back from public life, he behaves as though nothing has changed,” the insider said, adding that he still expects staff to address him as a prince or duke.
According to the source, Andrew’s standard of living has remained largely the same.
“When it comes to comfort and indulgence, his daily life appears unchanged. That continued luxury, despite everything, is what many people will find deeply offensive.”
