Frustrated by ongoing family tensions, the King is said to want Catherine to help smooth relations with Meghan Markle
King Charles is reportedly at the end of his tether with the constant tension inside the royal family. While continuing his duties alongside ongoing health concerns, the monarch is said to be increasingly frustrated by what he views as unnecessary and childish infighting.
According to sources quoted by the National Enquirer, the King has turned to Catherine, the most senior female working royal, to help calm the situation. The claim is that he has asked her to take the lead in repairing relations with Meghan Markle, with whom she has allegedly been at odds for years.
A well-placed insider said Charles believes the Sussexes have made mistakes but feels the situation has gone on long enough. He is reportedly prepared to forgive past issues if it means easing tensions and restoring some sense of unity within the family.
The source added that, in Charles’s view, the drama no longer makes sense given the larger challenges facing the monarchy. With his health still a concern, he is said to have little tolerance left for personal disputes and wants a more mature response from everyone involved.
“As far as Charles is concerned, this petty drama has dragged on too long,” the insider claimed. “He simply has no patience for it anymore.”
