Royal expert says being seen with her father risks damaging her reputation
Princess Beatrice has reportedly been issued a stark warning after being photographed spending time with her father, Prince Andrew.
According to The Sun, Beatrice joined Andrew for a horse ride and was seen with her daughter, Sienna, at the Royal Mews in Windsor before heading onto the castle grounds.
Following the release of the photos, royal expert Afua Hagan told Newsweek that appearing publicly with Andrew carries serious reputational risks.
“I do think there is a reputational risk, absolutely, for either of them to be associating themselves with Andrew, especially publicly,” she said.
Hagan added that the meeting may have been intended as a private outing but became an issue once it was captured on camera. “They were probably horse riding privately on a private estate, but she was photographed, and that’s not great,” she explained.
The expert acknowledged Beatrice’s loyalty to her father but warned that it could come at a professional cost. “Of course she feels loyalty towards him, he is her father after all. But there is definitely a reputational risk here.”
Hagan said it is unrealistic to expect Beatrice to cut ties with her father, but she must be careful about how that relationship is seen in public. “No matter what he’s done, he is still her dad,” she said. “But if she wants to protect her reputation, she needs to make sure she’s not pictured with him if she continues to support him.”
