Catherine is reportedly frustrated with Prince Andrew’s daughters for keeping their father informed about private royal matters.
Sources claim the Duke of York, who is said to be preparing to leave Royal Lodge, is relying heavily on his daughters for updates about what is happening inside the royal household.
Despite reports that one of the sisters had been distancing herself from him, Closer Magazine says both remain closely involved and continue to pass on information about royal affairs.
An insider said this has caused tension with William and Catherine, who are concerned that Andrew’s continued access to internal updates could create problems for the monarchy.
“They don’t want to punish the daughters,” the source explained, “but they are worried about Andrew having any kind of voice in royal decision-making.”
The insider added that Andrew is using them as a way to stay involved. “The perception is that he relies on them as his eyes and ears. Whether they mean to or not, it’s creating mistrust.”
While Catherine rarely shows anger publicly, the source said she is deeply upset behind the scenes. “The situation has pushed tensions with William and Catherine to breaking point. They don’t want Andrew whispering in the background of royal decisions.”
The source also claimed Catherine feels personally undermined. “She’s worked hard to rebuild trust in the monarchy after years of scandal. Seeing Andrew edge back into the picture feels like a slap in the face.”
