Duke of Sussex expected to return to the US after giving evidence in High Court case
Prince Harry is expected to head back to the United States after attending the latest hearings in his privacy case at London’s High Court.
This week, the Duke of Sussex appeared in court as part of a legal battle against the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday. On Wednesday, he became emotional while giving evidence, telling the court that the newspaper had made Meghan Markle’s life “an absolute misery”.
Harry, 41, is one of seven claimants in the case, alongside figures including Elton John. They are suing Associated Newspapers over alleged privacy breaches said to have taken place from the early 1990s through to the 2010s.
On Tuesday, his lawyer argued that Harry had been targeted by a long-running campaign because he challenged the paper over what he says was repeated intrusion into his private life.
After several days at the Royal Courts of Justice in central London, online speculation quickly turned to where Harry might go next. Some users assumed he had already flown back to the US, where Meghan Markle and their children are based.
Others were more sarcastic, suggesting he might appear in countries such as Japan or Ukraine before returning home. Critics pointed to his past travel patterns, noting that earlier UK visits were sometimes followed by trips elsewhere before he reunited with his family.
“Where will Harry pop up next? Ukraine? Davos? Miami? Surely he must have a photo op scheduled before ‘rushing’ home,” one outspoken critic wrote online.
As of Friday afternoon, there was no official confirmation of Harry’s whereabouts.
