Sussexes stop at World Central Kitchen’s regional headquarters in Amman
Meghan Markle and Harry wrapped up their Jordan visit with a stop at a charity that has personal meaning for them.
On the second and final day of their trip, the Duke of Sussex and Meghan Markle visited the Jordan Country Office of World Central Kitchen in Amman. The regional hub plays a key role in coordinating food relief and humanitarian assistance for Gaza and surrounding areas.
The organisation holds particular significance for the couple. World Central Kitchen was the first major philanthropic partner of their foundation, Archewell, when it launched in 2020. Since then, they have supported several of its relief efforts.
Earlier this year, the pair were seen assisting the charity following the January 2025 wildfires in Los Angeles. They helped distribute meals, donated supplies and met families affected by the fires in Pasadena. The disaster struck not far from their home in Montecito, roughly 90 miles away.
World Central Kitchen founder José Andrés has previously spoken warmly about the couple’s involvement. He said he considers them friends and praised their willingness to show up and support relief efforts despite the intense public attention that follows them.
Their Jordan visit once again highlighted their continued focus on humanitarian work, even as debate continues over their royal roles.
