Andrew Images Placed on Buckingham Palace Gates as Protesters Demand Answers

Anti-monarchy campaigners target King Charles and William over Andrew’s past links to Jeffrey Epstein

Republican activists staged a demonstration outside Buckingham Palace on Wednesday, placing photographs of Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor on the palace gates as part of a protest aimed at King Charles and William.

The group, which opposes the monarchy, shared footage showing members attaching printed images of Andrew alongside pictures of Virginia Giuffre. The protest centred on renewed questions about Andrew’s past association with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, with campaigners calling on senior royals to clarify what they knew.

One of the images used was the widely circulated photograph of Andrew with Giuffre, who had previously accused him of sexual assault. Andrew has consistently denied the allegations.

The demonstration follows reports that Andrew was arrested last week on suspicion of misconduct in public office. He was later released after questioning, though authorities confirmed that investigations are ongoing.

King Charles III removed Andrew from public royal duties in recent years and stripped him of his remaining honorary military roles and patronages amid the fallout from his association with Epstein. He also vacated Royal Lodge in Windsor, where he had been residing.

The latest protest underscores how the controversy continues to cast a shadow over the Royal Family, with campaigners insisting that questions surrounding Andrew have not gone away.
