Prince William is said to be deeply angry with his father, King Charles, over the way the latest scandal involving his uncle has been handled, with claims the situation has now spiralled into a full-blown crisis for the Royal Family.
The allegation comes from royal commentator Dan Wootton, who says both William and King Charles were quietly warned well in advance that damaging new revelations were on the way. According to reports, those warnings came long before the wider royal household became aware of the scale of what was coming.
In a post on social media, Wootton claimed William believes the King’s softer approach allowed the situation to worsen. He suggested the Prince of Wales feels the fallout from the latest release of the Epstein files has left the monarchy exposed and under unnecessary pressure.
Meanwhile, Sky News has reported that sources close to the York family say King Charles and William received “some kind of forewarning” late last year that the scandal was far from over. Those briefings reportedly made clear that further disclosures were inevitable.
A friend of Andrew’s daughters has also claimed the King and William were already preparing themselves for the impact. Speaking to Daily Mail, the source said intelligence briefings had hinted at what was still to come, even though details could not be shared publicly at the time.
The insider added that the decision to remove Andrew and Sarah from Royal Lodge was influenced by those warnings, despite criticism from some quarters that the move appeared overly harsh.
