Royal couple mark 25 years with cake-cutting and community celebrations
King Charles and Queen Camilla marked a significant milestone during their visit to the Eden Project, celebrating 25 years of the environmental attraction with a special cake-cutting ceremony.
The royal family’s official social media account shared a video capturing the moment the King and Queen cut the celebratory cake together. The clip also showed the couple warmly engaging with staff and gardeners during their visit.
According to the caption, the visit was part of the celebrations for the Eden Project’s 25th anniversary. During their time there, Charles and Camilla also officially opened a new feature described as a “marble run.”
The couple took time to meet with staff and gardeners, learning more about efforts focused on wildflower habitat restoration and strengthening the connection between people and nature.
Their visit also included joining a festive Big Lunch, where they met local volunteers and supporters. The gathering highlighted community spirit, with people coming together to share food, friendship, and discuss volunteer initiatives ahead of the upcoming Big Lunch and Big Help Out weekend scheduled from June 5 to 8.
The appearance reflects the King’s long-standing interest in environmental causes and community engagement, themes that were central to the day’s celebrations.
