Eco-fashion entrepreneur Amanda Navaian, founder of luxury handbag label House of Marici, has launched a claim in the High Court of Justice against the King Charles III Charitable Fund.
Navaian alleges the charity unexpectedly withdrew from a proposed fundraising collaboration that she believed could have generated major revenue for both her company and a royal-backed food initiative.
Sources told Radar Online that the monarch is unhappy the project tied to his charitable work has become the subject of a court case. One insider claimed the King is saddened that an initiative connected to a cause he strongly supports has turned into a legal battle.
According to the source, the project was meant to highlight sustainability and food redistribution rather than spark a dispute.
The development comes as the King continues his cancer treatment and deals with ongoing fallout linked to controversies surrounding his brother, Prince Andrew, and the Jeffrey Epstein scandal.
The insider added that the monarch finds it frustrating that a project associated with his charities has become overshadowed by conflict, noting he has long tried to keep his charitable work away from controversy.
Court documents reportedly state that the proposed partnership included selling T-shirts promoting the Coronation Food Project. Plans also involved a high-profile fundraising dinner at CLAP London.
Navaian claims the discussions took place during a Zoom meeting that included committee chair Dori Dana-Haeri and project chair Martina Milburn, where she says an oral agreement was reached.
