Sources claim the future King feels the timing of the Duke of Sussex’s public efforts is “tone deaf” as the royal family faces mounting pressure
Prince William is said to be increasingly frustrated with his brother Harry as tensions within the royal family continue to rise.
According to a well-placed insider, the Prince and Catherine have been under significant strain in recent months. The pressure reportedly intensified after links between Jeffrey Epstein and a member of the royal family resurfaced, creating a situation some observers describe as one of the monarchy’s most difficult moments in decades.
Amid the ongoing turmoil, the Duke of Sussex’s public appearances and charitable efforts have reportedly caused irritation within royal circles. Sources claim William believes the timing of such visibility is inappropriate while the family is dealing with serious challenges.
One insider told Heat World that Catherine in particular has been left disappointed. “She’s very disappointed in him,” the source said, adding that she had always believed Harry’s judgement would be stronger in sensitive situations.
The insider also suggested that the couple’s efforts to generate positive attention through public work have been viewed unfavourably by some within the family. “Given everything that’s happening, it feels tone deaf for Harry and Meghan Markle to be trying to attract positive headlines right now,” the source claimed, adding that stepping back from the spotlight might have been the wiser approach.
However, the Sussexes’ perspective is said to be very different. According to the same source, Harry has grown increasingly defensive as criticism continues to follow the couple’s actions.
“He and Meghan were simply trying to do something positive,” the insider explained. “From his point of view, it’s frustrating. They’re criticised for being ‘too Hollywood’, and when they try a different approach, people still find fault.”
The source added that Harry often feels caught in a situation where any decision he makes is likely to face backlash.
