Princess of Wales reflects on nature’s healing power after cancer journey
Catherine, Princess of Wales marked Earth Day 2026 with a personal message, signing it simply with “C” as she shared it on social media on Wednesday.
In her post, she highlighted the importance of reconnecting with the natural world. “When we listen to the rhythms of Mother Nature, we remember where we belong,” the caption read, drawing attention to the Prince and Princess of Wales’ seasonal Mother Nature film series on YouTube.
Catherine has previously spoken about how deeply nature supported her during a challenging period in her life. Reflecting on her cancer treatment last year, she described the outdoors as a place of comfort and strength. She said nature became her sanctuary, offering space to heal and regain balance.
She also noted the lasting impact of the natural world, calling its ability to inspire and nurture “boundless,” a connection understood across generations.
Catherine completed her preventative chemotherapy in September 2024 and confirmed in 2025 that she is now in remission.
