Buckingham Palace reportedly displeased as product names reference Archie and Lilibet
Buckingham Palace is said to be unhappy after Meghan Markle appeared to reference her children’s royal titles in products released under her As Ever lifestyle brand.
The Duchess introduced two scented candles, each priced at £47, as part of a Mother’s Day collection. The items reportedly feature names linked to the birthdates of her children, Prince Archie of Sussex and Princess Lilibet of Sussex.
According to reports, a palace source criticised the move, calling it “an outrageous use of their titles.” The collection is understood to be the first time the brand has made a direct connection to the couple’s children.
However, a source close to Meghan Markle described the decision as “tasteful,” adding that it had the full support of her husband, Prince Harry.
The launch was promoted through influencer gift boxes, which included the candles, chocolates, and handwritten notes said to reflect personal family moments.
