Investor role highlights Duchess of Sussex’s influence on style and support for designers
Meghan Markle has received praise following her involvement as an investor in a new fashion technology company.
The Duchess of Sussex recently backed OneOff, an AI-powered fashion discovery platform, and her contribution to the project is already being recognised by those behind the brand.
OneOff’s co-founder, Bobby Maylack, spoke about Meghan’s involvement in an interview with Marie Claire, describing her as someone with a strong and consistent perspective on fashion.
“Meghan has a very clear and consistent point of view when it comes to style, which aligns closely with what we’re building at OneOff,” he said.
Maylack added that her input has been particularly valuable when discussing ways to highlight and support the designers whose work she often wears.
“She’s also been a great thought partner, especially around how we can better support the designers behind the pieces she chooses,” he explained.
The announcement comes as the company continues expanding its presence internationally. OneOff’s team recently returned to Australia ahead of upcoming trunk shows, marking a meaningful moment for the brand.
A spokesperson noted that the timing feels especially significant given the brand’s ties to both Los Angeles and Australia.
While Meghan has increasingly taken on business and media ventures in recent years, her latest investment reflects her ongoing interest in fashion, innovation, and promoting emerging designers.
