Prince Andrew’s Hope for His Daughters’ Royal Roles Appears Over

Beatrice and Eugenie Face Fresh Setback as Experts Say Their Chances of Becoming Working Royals Are Gone

Prince Andrew’s long-held hope of seeing his daughters take on official royal duties now appears unlikely to ever happen.

Beatrice and Eugenie have reportedly continued to face the lasting impact of their family’s past controversies, particularly the scandal involving Jeffrey Epstein. The situation surrounding their father has created difficulties not only for him and Sarah Ferguson but also for their daughters.

Over the years, the sisters have quietly paid the price for those controversies, with both their professional and social circles said to have been affected.

Royal author Harry Mount recently offered a sobering update about their prospects within the monarchy. Writing for The i newspaper, he suggested that the possibility of them stepping into formal royal roles has effectively disappeared.

According to Mount, any expectation that the sisters might one day carry out official duties on behalf of the monarchy is now over. While they may still appear at important royal occasions such as weddings, christenings, funerals and coronations, their presence at more prominent events is expected to remain limited.

He noted that opportunities such as attending the traditional Easter church service at Sandringham alongside senior members of the royal family are no longer likely.

Andrew had reportedly hoped for years that his daughters might one day take on more visible responsibilities within the royal household. However, recent assessments suggest that dream has now faded, leaving Beatrice and Eugenie largely outside the circle of working royals.
