Fresh reports suggest that old tensions inside the royal family may resurface as talk grows of a possible UK visit by Harry and Meghan Markle. According to insiders, the Duke of Sussex could once again find himself caught between his wife and Queen Camilla.
Sources claim Meghan Markle remains open to maintaining peace with several members of the royal family. However, when it comes to Camilla, the situation appears far more complicated.
A source told Radar Online that Meghan believes Camilla has tried to undermine her from the beginning and portray her negatively. Because of that, the insider said Meghan is unwilling to place herself in a situation where she might face further hostility.
The source added that Meghan has no intention of creating conflict but also does not plan to act as if everything is perfectly fine. She has reportedly made it clear to Harry that she does not want to continue being targeted or criticised.
The reported tension is said to partly stem from Harry’s memoir, where he described difficult dynamics within the royal household and included criticism involving Camilla. The portrayal reportedly left Camilla unhappy, while Meghan is believed to remain cautious about reconnecting with senior royals.
Insiders claim Meghan feels strongly about protecting herself from what she sees as past mistreatment. One source alleged that if Camilla were to make negative moves during a UK visit, Meghan would be prepared to respond.
According to the insider, Meghan feels she now understands the inner workings of the royal family through Harry and would not hesitate to defend herself if necessary.
