The Prince of Wales reportedly enjoys relaxed evenings watching television with his wife
Prince William appears to favour a simple and quiet way to unwind at the end of a busy day.
According to royal author Robert Hardman in his book Elizabeth II: In Private. In Public. Her Story, the Prince of Wales prefers a laid-back evening at home with his wife, Catherine.
Hardman compares William’s habits with those of his father, Charles III. While the King is known for staying up late writing letters, William’s idea of a relaxing night is far simpler.
A member of William’s team reportedly shared that his favourite way to spend an evening is sitting down with Catherine to watch the television series The Traitors.
The popular programme has attracted a large following in the UK, and its producer, Stephen Lambert, received an OBE in 2025 for his contributions to television.
Lambert previously recalled a conversation with the Prince of Wales about the show, noting that William said he and his family were looking forward to watching it together and expected it to be a big treat both for them and for viewers across the country.
The revelation about William’s relaxed evenings comes as Catherine is said to be trying to ease tensions within the royal family. Reports suggest she has quietly encouraged reconciliation between William and his younger brother, Harry.
According to insiders, Catherine has attempted to remain above the ongoing disputes but recognises how deeply the situation affects her husband. Sources claim she continues to support efforts to rebuild communication between the two brothers, even as tensions occasionally flare again.
