According to a palace insider who spoke to a US-based entertainment outlet, Buckingham Palace has quietly initiated what insiders are calling “Project Thaw,” an effort aimed at easing tensions and encouraging a reconciliation between the Duke of Sussex and the King.
The initiative follows Harry’s meeting with his father in London last September, their first face-to-face conversation in more than 18 months. Since then, there has reportedly been a renewed push behind the scenes to rebuild the father-son relationship.
Sources claim the situation is particularly complicated for Meghan Markle, who previously spoke openly about feeling unsupported during her time within the royal family.
Insiders suggest the Duchess of Sussex has little interest in returning to the UK and is focused on protecting their children from the pressures that come with royal life.
