Preparations for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s much-anticipated wedding have reportedly taken a serious turn as security concerns begin to surface ahead of the event.
According to a report by Radar Online, Swift’s team is considering extensive security arrangements to protect the couple and their guests during the celebrations. An insider claimed that advisers close to the singer are encouraging the use of highly trained security personnel, including specialists similar to SWAT-style marksmen, to ensure the ceremony goes smoothly.
The pop star and the Kansas City Chiefs tight end are expected to marry in June at Swift’s oceanfront mansion in Rhode Island, a property reportedly worth around $18 million. The ceremony is expected to be a glamorous affair with several events planned across nearby venues, rather than being limited to the Ocean House alone.
A source told the outlet that those involved in organising the wedding have been advised to approach the planning with “high-level threat awareness,” given the concentration of celebrity guests and public attention surrounding the event.
“When you have this level of wealth, fame and information circulating publicly, planners have to prepare for every possible scenario,” the insider reportedly explained.
The guest list is said to include more than 150 well-known figures from the worlds of music, film and sports. Among the names expected to attend are Selena Gomez, Ed Sheeran, Zoë Kravitz, Emma Stone, Gigi Hadid and NFL star Patrick Mahomes.
Security consultants are allegedly treating the estate as a tightly controlled environment during the celebrations. According to the source, plans include layered security zones, restricted entry points and rapid-response teams ready if needed.
“They’re essentially building multiple layers of protection around the property,” the insider claimed, adding that the level of preparation resembles the kind of planning used for major high-profile events.
Swift and Kelce began dating in 2023 and announced their engagement in a joint Instagram post on August 26, 2025. Their upcoming wedding is already being described as one of the most anticipated celebrity events of the year.
