Katy Perry is reportedly dealing with intense pressure after Ruby Rose made shocking allegations against the singer.
According to insiders who spoke with Radar Online, Perry has found herself in a deeply difficult situation despite receiving support from her boyfriend, former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
“Justin is being completely supportive, but it’s still an incredibly painful situation,” a source claimed. “Katy worries about how this could affect their relationship because Justin also has a public image to maintain.”
The controversy erupted after Ruby Rose alleged that nearly two decades ago Perry behaved inappropriately toward her during a night out at a nightclub.
A representative for Katy Perry strongly denied the claims, describing them as “categorically false.” Ruby later stated that she had filed a police report regarding the alleged incident.
As the matter continues to attract attention, a former manager of the nightclub involved told media outlets that he did not witness any assault on the night in question.
Another insider said Perry remains confident the allegations will eventually be dismissed, although the situation has become extremely stressful for her.
Meanwhile, supporters of the pop star have pointed to a 2011 essay written by Ruby Rose about sobriety, in which she recalled a night where she became sick after drinking and said “nothing horrific happened” involving Perry.
