King Charles treasures every moment he spends with his granddaughter, Princess Charlotte, and the pair are said to share a particularly close bond.
The monarch, who is continuing his cancer treatment, reportedly makes a strong effort to spend quality time with his grandchildren and create lasting memories with them.
Speaking to Hello! magazine, royal biographer Robert Jobson revealed that Charlotte shares a warm relationship with her grandfather.
“He totally adores her,” Jobson said, adding that Charlotte especially enjoys story time with the King because of his entertaining character voices.
Queen Camilla also opened up about Charles’ talent for reading to the children during family stays in Scotland.
“Sometimes, when we are with my husband in Scotland, he reads them Harry Potter,” she told the Daily Mail.
According to the Queen, Charles performs every character voice himself because he is “a brilliant mimic.”
“I always think they are going to be wriggling around in the bed, but they sit spellbound,” Camilla shared.
Jobson also noted that the royal children have a unique nickname for the monarch.
“They don't call him Grandpa King, they call him Grandpa Wales,” he said.
