King Charles is reportedly making his position clear behind palace doors when it comes to Meghan Markle and any possible reconciliation with Harry.
According to a source quoted by Closer magazine, the monarch wants to rebuild his relationship with Harry, but he has no interest in letting Meghan influence the situation or dictate the terms.
The insider claimed Harry has been trying to approach his father with requests tied to Meghan, but those around the King believe that strategy is unlikely to work. Charles is said to want direct conversations with his son instead of dealing with what he sees as outside pressure.
“Charles wants to deal with Harry man to man,” the source alleged, adding that the King is willing to repair the fractured relationship but only within clear boundaries.
The report also claimed that one of Charles’ biggest motivations is developing a stronger connection with Harry’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
From the King’s perspective, the focus is on rebuilding family ties with Harry while also forming a closer bond with his grandchildren, the insider said.
However, the source stressed that Charles is not prepared to compromise endlessly and believes any reconciliation must happen on his terms.
The insider concluded by claiming that if Harry wants a relationship with his father, he will have to accept the conditions being offered because any proposal from the King is “not up for negotiation.”
