Prince William, Catherine Could Reshape Archie and Lilibet’s Royal Future

Prince William, Catherine Could Reshape Archie and Lilibet’s Royal Future

Prince William and Catherine are reportedly expected to make major changes within the monarchy once their time on the throne arrives, with experts suggesting Archie and Lilibet’s royal roles could eventually be affected.

Royal author Tom Quinn claimed the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may face difficult realities in the future as the royal family continues to slim down its working structure.

According to Quinn, Meghan Markle still misses certain parts of life in Britain and worries her children could one day question why they were kept away from their royal relatives.

He suggested Meghan fears Archie and Lilibet may eventually feel they missed out on meaningful relationships with their cousins and a unique upbringing in the UK.

Meanwhile, UK constitutional law expert Dr Craig Prescott told the Daily Express that Prince William could revisit the 1917 Letters Patent after becoming King.

Prescott explained that William may reconsider whether Archie and Lilibet should continue holding royal titles, especially as the monarchy increasingly links titles and HRH status to official royal duties.

He pointed to the removal of Prince Andrew’s “Princely status” as proof that such changes are possible within the institution.

Former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond also weighed in on the debate, saying it would be sad if Archie grew up barely knowing his grandfather King Charles or his uncle William despite their prominent royal positions.

Bond added that Meghan Markle could ultimately face blame from her children if they feel disconnected from the royal family later in life.
