Prince Harry has reportedly launched a major effort to ensure Meghan Markle receives a warm reception during their expected visit to Britain this summer.
According to Heat World, the Duke of Sussex is said to be concerned about how Meghan will be treated when she returns to the UK in July. Sources claimed Harry has even requested “crisis talks” with King Charles ahead of the visit to avoid tensions behind palace walls.
Insiders revealed that Harry is “extremely nervous” about the reaction Meghan could face and wants reassurances before the couple arrives in Britain.
The source alleged that Harry has been pushing for “clear-the-air talks” with his father in hopes of securing a more respectful atmosphere for Meghan during the trip.
“Harry has been coming in with all these demands on behalf of Meghan, and it’s already rubbing a lot of palace aides up the wrong way,” the insider claimed, adding that the Duke believes he has little choice because of previous experiences.
The report further suggested Harry wants firm boundaries in place to ensure Meghan is not unfairly criticised or portrayed negatively during their stay.
According to the source, the Duke does not want Meghan walking into an environment where she feels judged before anything has even happened.
“He’s asking for basic respect and a fair chance for Meghan,” the insider shared, adding that Harry is trying to balance protecting his wife while also maintaining a positive relationship with King Charles.
