A man who unlawfully entered the parliamentary estate reportedly told authorities that he wanted to meet King Charles and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, according to details presented during a court hearing.
The 23-year-old, Devon Dorrall, admitted to one count of trespassing on a protected site when he appeared before the Westminster Magistrates' Court.
According to evidence heard in court, Dorrall was experiencing a psychotic episode linked to the use of illegal drugs at the time of the incident. After being approached by officers, he allegedly said he had come to see members of the royal family.
The intruder was initially spotted by a maintenance engineer who noticed that, although Dorrall was carrying a visitor's pass, he was moving around the estate without an escort.
Court proceedings revealed that when questioned about his presence, Dorrall claimed he had been the victim of a crime and was "effectively with Harry."
Officials later reported that his behaviour became increasingly confrontational. Prosecutors said he stared at officers in a manner they considered threatening and blamed them for the situation before allegedly directing insults at police personnel.
When officers asked why he had come to the parliamentary estate, Dorrall reportedly replied that he wanted to visit King Charles and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
He was subsequently arrested and charged with trespassing on a protected site.
The case highlighted security concerns surrounding access to the parliamentary estate, although there was no indication that Dorrall came into contact with any members of the royal family during the incident.
