Meghan Markle Reportedly Wins Privacy Dispute With Harry Over Archie and Lilibet

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are reportedly at odds once again, this time over a major decision involving their children, Archie and Lilibet.

According to reports, the couple's differing views on privacy have resurfaced, with Meghan allegedly taking the lead in deciding how much of their children's lives should be shared publicly. An insider told Woman's Day that growing public interest in seeing Archie and Lilibet has increased pressure on Harry to relax the strict privacy boundaries he has long supported.

The source claimed that while Harry remains uncomfortable with exposing the children to public attention, his concerns are being overshadowed. Meghan, meanwhile, reportedly believes that since the family already lives under intense public scrutiny, they should take control of how their story is presented.

The reported disagreement stems from the couple's evolving public role since stepping back from royal duties in 2020. After leaving the UK, Harry and Meghan relocated first to Canada before eventually settling in Montecito, California, during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Their departure from royal life was later made permanent following a one-year review period, confirming they would not return as working royals. As a result, Harry lost his honorary military appointments and royal patronages.

The years that followed saw the Sussexes embark on a series of high-profile media projects. They signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify, released their Netflix documentary series Harry & Meghan, and participated in several headline-making interviews, including conversations with Oprah Winfrey and major American broadcasters.

While the Netflix partnership continues in a reduced capacity, the Spotify agreement ended early. The split attracted widespread attention after Spotify executive Daniel Ek publicly criticised the couple's output.

In January 2023, Harry released his bestselling memoir Spare, which detailed several personal and royal family conflicts, including previously undisclosed events from his time within the monarchy.

Amid these developments, the Sussex family expanded with the birth of Princess Lilibet in 2021. Meghan had previously spoken publicly about suffering a miscarriage, sharing her experience in a personal essay for The New York Times.

Since leaving royal duties, Meghan has made only a handful of visits to the UK, including appearances during Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee celebrations and later for the late monarch's funeral.

The years following also brought significant milestones for the family. Archie and Lilibet officially received their prince and princess titles, while reports emerged of renewed communication between Harry and King Charles after a private meeting in Windsor.

Although tensions with some members of the Royal Family are believed to remain, reports suggest the Sussexes have recently reduced their public criticism of the monarchy and are focused on rebuilding their public image while continuing their independent careers.
