Insiders claim Meghan Markle may skip Prince Harry's reported visit to Britain next month.
Prince Harry is reportedly considering traveling to the UK without Meghan Markle and their two children, according to new claims from sources close to the couple.
An insider told Naughty But Nice that the Duchess of Sussex is expected to remain in California while Harry makes the trip to Britain next month.
According to the source, Meghan's decision is linked to ongoing efforts to reshape the Sussexes' public image following renewed criticism surrounding reports of the family's potential UK visit.
"Meghan genuinely thought this would be her big moment," the insider claimed. "She wanted to remind everyone she's still royal and generate goodwill. Instead, she walked straight into another wave of criticism."
The reported plans surfaced while Meghan was promoting her lifestyle brand, As Ever, leading to further speculation about the timing of the visit.
Another source alleged that Meghan had hoped for a warmer reception.
"She expected a royal homecoming," the insider said. "Instead, it became another PR battle. People were questioning the motives before the family had even packed a suitcase."
Meanwhile, television presenter Kevin O'Sullivan also weighed in on the reports during his June 25 program, suggesting he believes Meghan is unlikely to return to Britain.
"I think the stories are undoubtedly true that these plans are afoot," he said.
However, he added that he doubts the Duchess will ultimately make the trip.
"I'm just not convinced that when push comes to shove that Meghan will actually materialise. That she will actually come back to Britain," O'Sullivan said.
He went on to claim that Meghan is unlikely to return because he believes she does not enjoy being in Britain or the level of public support she receives there.
Neither Prince Harry nor Meghan Markle has publicly confirmed reports of the proposed UK visit or addressed the claims about Meghan's reported decision to stay behind.
