Archie and Lilibet May One Day ‘Resent’ Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, Royal Expert Claims

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s recent visit to the UK has been viewed as a possible attempt to rebuild their relationship with the Royal Family. However, one royal commentator believes the long-running family rift could eventually affect their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

During a reported European summer break, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex visited Highgrove with their children for tea with King Charles and Queen Camilla. The meeting was said to be the King’s first time seeing Archie, 7, and Lilibet, 5, since 2022.

Ingrid Seward, editor-in-chief of Majesty Magazine, suggested that the visit may signal Harry and Meghan’s desire to repair their royal ties.

She also claimed that Archie and Lilibet could one day question why they were kept at a distance from their British relatives and royal heritage.

“I think the children could be really annoyed, not now, but when they grow up, with their father and mother,” Seward told The Sun.

She added that they may ask: “Why haven’t you introduced me to my other life, my cousins, my heritage?”

According to Seward, such questions could be difficult for Harry and Meghan to answer.

The royal commentator also claimed that Meghan’s popularity in the United States has declined. She suggested that repairing relations with the Royal Family could strengthen the Duchess of Sussex’s public position, although she believes Meghan would need to take a less prominent role in the process.

Looking ahead, Seward said King Charles could arrange future meetings with Harry and his family in secure locations, such as Scotland.

“I think the King will say to Harry, ‘Darling boy, you know I can only really see you in Scotland,’ where he will be given assurances about security, and that is what I think will happen,” she said.

However, Seward cautioned that Harry’s strained relationship with his brother, Prince William, remains a separate and potentially more difficult issue.

“The issues with Harry and his brother are a whole other ball game completely,” she said.
