King Charles reportedly met Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children during a private family reunion following an agreement to keep the visit confidential.
According to reports, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex met the King with Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet after returning to Britain last week. The Palace reportedly confirmed in a brief statement that the meeting took place but did not release photographs or further details.
Sources cited by Vanity Fair claimed that everyone involved had agreed beforehand not to disclose information about the reunion.
“They are keeping the meeting top secret. They haven’t said anything to anyone,” an insider said.
A source close to Harry and Meghan added that the agreement was made before the family met the King, with no photographs or details to be shared publicly.
The meeting reportedly lasted about an hour at Highgrove. Insiders said the public should not expect to learn what was discussed, as Harry had promised his father that the conversation would remain private.
The reunion is believed to be the first time the two sides of the family have met in four years. Sources said Harry was pleased that the visit went ahead after uncertainty surrounding the plans.
Speaking to Fox News Digital, royal commentator Helena Chard said the King had long hoped to see his grandchildren. She noted that Charles, who continues to receive cancer treatment, is likely to value family relationships more than ever.
