Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s friend speaks out on Archie and Lilibet possibly meeting King Charles

A friend of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry has shared fresh details about how their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, feel about the possibility of meeting King Charles.

Speaking to Hello!, the insider said the Sussex children are excited at the idea of going on holiday and potentially seeing their grandfather. However, the friend added that Archie and Lilibet do not really understand the royal status of their relatives in Britain.

“The truth is they don’t really have any concept about who they are,” the source said, referring to the royal family. “Their parents are very good at keeping them away from it all, so they live as normal little kids.”

According to the insider, any meeting with King Charles would simply be a visit with their grandfather from the children’s point of view, rather than an encounter with the British monarch.

The comments come after The Telegraph reported that Meghan and the couple’s two children will not travel to London with Harry next week.

The Duke of Sussex is expected to visit London and Birmingham for a number of charity engagements, including events linked to the 2027 Invictus Games.

Although Meghan, Archie and Lilibet are not expected to join Harry in London, the family has reportedly not ruled out travelling elsewhere in Britain. This could include Birmingham, where Harry is due to promote the Invictus Games.
