Piers Morgan Warns Prince Harry and Meghan Markle Over Archie and Lilibet’s Online Privacy

Piers Morgan has criticised Prince Harry and Meghan Markle over their approach to protecting their children’s privacy online.

The outspoken journalist made the remarks after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex reportedly reunited with King Charles during a recent visit to the UK with their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.

Speaking to Woman & Home, the former Good Morning Britain presenter sarcastically referred to Harry and Meghan as his “old friends” before questioning their decision to share photographs of Lilibet on social media.

“My old friends, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, keep preaching to us about privacy and the need to be careful online, and how dangerous it is for kids. And then what did they do?” Morgan said.

He claimed the couple had shared recognisable photographs of their five-year-old daughter with millions of people despite frequently speaking about children’s online safety.

“What are you doing? What is this about?” he asked. “Why would you lecture the world about being careful with children online and then put your own child out there to millions of people? It makes no sense to me.”

Morgan added that the decision may make sense to supporters of the Sussexes, but he viewed it as an example of a double standard.

“If you are going to start preaching about something, at least try to live up to it,” he said. “Don’t immediately do something that is the complete opposite of what you have been preaching.”

Harry and Meghan have previously spoken publicly about online safety, privacy and the potential risks social media can pose to children.
