Prince Harry has faced criticism online after sharing an update on King Charles’ health following their reported reunion in the UK.
Harry, Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, reportedly met with the King last week during a private family visit.
According to Page Six, the Duke of Sussex attended the TIME100 Sports Gala in New York City on Thursday night, where he told guests that his father was “doing great.”
King Charles has been receiving treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer since 2024.
Harry’s brief comment prompted a mixed reaction online, with some royal watchers arguing that he should not publicly discuss the King’s health.
One commenter said Harry was not in a position to provide updates about his father’s condition, while another suggested he should avoid speaking about private royal matters altogether.
Others criticised the Duke over his past public comments about the Royal Family, accusing him of contributing to tensions within the monarchy.
“Harry is better known for profiting from and causing family conflict than for his military service or charitable work,” one person wrote.
Another commenter accused him of hurting his family and showing little regret, while a fifth dismissed the report as another attempt to push an inaccurate narrative.
Harry has not publicly responded to the criticism.
