Prince Harry has come under fresh criticism from royal commentators following reports surrounding his planned UK visit and the possibility of introducing his children to King Charles.
The latest claims were made during a discussion between TalkTV presenter Kevin O'Sullivan and US-based royal commentator Kinsey Schofield.
During the conversation, O'Sullivan argued that Harry may have hoped a meeting between King Charles and his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, would help resolve the long-running dispute over his security arrangements in the UK.
"I think Harry actually thought that if he could set up this meeting between his kids, Archie and Lilibet and the King, that the security he demanded would suddenly fall into place," O'Sullivan said.
He continued by claiming that UK authorities had maintained their position on Harry's security, regardless of any family meeting.
O'Sullivan went on to speculate that if such a meeting did not happen, it would be deeply upsetting for the King. He described the situation as "despicably cruel," though those remarks reflect his personal opinion rather than confirmed events.
The discussion comes ahead of preparations for the 2027 Invictus Games in Birmingham, with Prince Harry expected to take part in engagements linked to the event.
Separate reports have also suggested that Harry hopes his children will spend time with their grandfather during a future visit to Britain. However, there has been no official confirmation that such a meeting has been arranged.
Meanwhile, Woman's Day cited an unnamed source claiming Prince William remains cautious about any broader reconciliation involving the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. The source also alleged that William would welcome the opportunity to see his niece and nephew despite ongoing tensions within the family.
Neither Buckingham Palace nor representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have commented on the latest claims, which remain based on media reports and unnamed sources.
