Prince Harry has reportedly told King Charles and mutual friends that he is ready to speak with Prince William whenever his brother is willing.
The Duke of Sussex recently visited Britain with Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. During the trip, the family reportedly spent time with King Charles, although they did not meet William and Kate Middleton.
According to royal insiders, Harry has asked his father and palace aides to pass a message to William saying he is prepared to sit down and talk.
“He’s asked his father and various aides to let William know that he’s ready to sit down to talk anytime he chooses,” a source claimed.
The insider suggested that Harry has been forced to communicate indirectly because he does not believe William would take his call.
“If he had any chance of reaching William, he’d just call him up directly, but he’d never get through, so he has to resort to this roundabout way,” the source said.
Harry has also reportedly spoken to the few mutual friends the brothers still share, telling them that he misses William and hopes the message will reach him.
The source claimed Harry understands that he cannot control his brother’s feelings but wants to make it clear that he remains open to reconciliation.
“The best he can do is keep his side of the street clean and continue to let it be known he’s ready to make peace,” the insider said.
According to the source, Harry believes the long-running dispute can only be resolved through a private, face-to-face conversation.
“This has been going on far too long, and from his perspective, the only way it will ever end is if they sit down one-on-one to sort this out,” the source added.
