The Duke of Sussex could not hide his disappointment following England's semi-final defeat
Prince Harry gave a brief but honest response after England suffered a heartbreaking exit from the FIFA World Cup.
England went head-to-head with Argentina in Wednesday's semi-final but lost 2-1, bringing their tournament run to a painful end. The result left supporters, celebrities and members of the royal family deeply disappointed.
While attending the TIME100 Sports Gala in New York City on Thursday, Harry was asked by Page Six whether he was upset about England's defeat.
The Duke of Sussex did not hesitate and simply replied, “Of course.”
Prince William also shared an emotional message following the loss, praising the team for its performance throughout the tournament.
"England, you gave it everything and we are all so proud of you," William wrote on X. "Thank you to everyone on and off the pitch for an incredible tournament. The fight and belief you have shown has inspired us all."

Thank you to everyone on and off the pitch, for an incredible tournament. The fight and belief you have shown has inspired us all. The most complete England team in a tournament. Hold your heads high 🏴

He continued, "The most complete England team in a tournament. Hold your heads high."
Harry's public appearance came after his reported visit to the UK earlier in July with his wife, Meghan Markle, and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
During the trip, the family reportedly met King Charles and Queen Camilla. The reunion was said to be the King's first meeting with Archie and Lilibet in four years.
