Prince William and Kate Middleton reportedly met Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce in private just weeks before the couple’s wedding.
According to People Magazine, the Prince and Princess of Wales met Swift and Kelce in London during the couple’s visit to England in May. The meeting is believed to have been Princess Kate’s first introduction to the pair.
Before the wedding, Prince William had sparked speculation that he might attend the ceremony. When asked whether he had received an invitation to Swift and Kelce’s July 3 wedding at Madison Square Garden in New York, William replied, “No comment.”
He then added, “I’m hoping, and I’m sure there might be an invitation around, but we’ll see.”
However, it was later confirmed that William and Kate would not be attending the wedding.
The private meeting also appeared to be hinted at during Prince William’s appearance on New Heights, the podcast hosted by Travis and Jason Kelce. During the episode, Travis mentioned that he had seen the prince “not too long ago.”
Swift and Kelce tied the knot on Friday in New York. The news was confirmed by Swift’s publicist, while giant screens outside the arena displayed the message: “JUST&T MARRIED!”
