Prince William is reportedly deeply unhappy over claims that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle could return to the UK together, with fresh reports suggesting tensions within the Royal Family remain high.
According to royal correspondent Tom Sykes, the Prince of Wales was so upset by recent developments that he skipped the customary family lunch following Trooping the Colour, leaving with Catherine and their three children shortly after the Royal Air Force flypast.
The report claims William was angered by suggestions that King Charles is pursuing reconciliation with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex and by speculation that Meghan could accompany Harry on a future visit to Britain.
Sykes also alleged that William has privately discussed boycotting gatherings at Sandringham if the Sussexes are provided accommodation and police protection while staying on a royal estate.
An unnamed source quoted in the report claimed William fears his father could be disappointed if reconciliation efforts do not go as hoped.
"William was already worried sick about Charles being played, but hearing Harry and Meghan might be bringing a film crew along has made his blood boil," the source alleged.
The insider further claimed William is particularly concerned by reports that the Sussexes could stay at a residence once associated with his late mother, Princess Diana, while speculation continues about potential future documentary projects. However, there has been no official confirmation that Harry and Meghan plan to film in the UK or bring a camera crew on any visit.
Despite the reported tensions, the source insisted William's feelings do not extend to his niece and nephew, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet.
"He’s as keen to see his niece and nephew as their grandfather is," the insider claimed, adding that Meghan is aware of William's affection for the children.
The claims have not been confirmed by Buckingham Palace, Kensington Palace or representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
