Prince William is reportedly unwilling to repair his relationship with Prince Harry, with sources claiming the Prince of Wales doubts the sincerity of his brother’s recent attempts at reconciliation.
According to a report by RadarOnline.com, William views Harry’s efforts as “selfish” and “self-serving” rather than a genuine attempt to heal the long-running rift within the royal family.
Harry recently visited England with Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. During the trip, the family reportedly spent about an hour with King Charles and Queen Camilla at Highgrove House.
However, there was no meeting with Prince William or Kate Middleton.
A royal source claimed William believes too much trust has been lost for the brothers to rebuild their relationship.
“William believes trust has been broken beyond repair and sees recent reconciliation efforts as being driven by Harry’s own interests rather than the family,” the insider said.
The source added that William has little interest in revisiting past tensions.
“From his perspective, there is simply no appetite for reopening old wounds,” they said.
Another insider suggested that Harry’s previous interviews, memoir and documentary appearances continue to shape how the royal family responds to him.
“Every gesture is now viewed through the lens of past interviews, memoirs and documentaries,” the source claimed. “That has made any meaningful reconciliation incredibly difficult.”
Harry and Meghan stepped down as senior working members of the royal family in 2020. They have since been living in California with their two children.
Neither Prince William nor Prince Harry has publicly commented on the latest claims about their relationship.
