Prince William has reportedly reached the end of his patience with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, but reconciliation may still be possible if the Sussexes agree to a series of strict conditions.
Relations between the Waleses and the Sussexes have remained strained for years, both publicly and behind closed doors. According to recent reports, William believes any attempt to rebuild trust must first address the hurt and embarrassment caused by Harry and Meghan’s past comments.
Kate Middleton is also said to have been deeply affected by some of the claims made about her in Harry’s interviews, documentary appearances and memoir.
A source told Woman’s Day that while Harry may have made some progress in repairing his relationship with King Charles, winning William over would be far more difficult.
The source claimed that William would expect both Harry and Meghan to issue a public apology to him and Kate before any meaningful reconciliation could begin.
However, an apology may not be the only condition.
William is also reportedly considering a formal agreement that would set clear boundaries for the Sussexes. The alleged conditions would be designed to prevent further public criticism of the Royal Family, limit the use of royal names and connections, and establish rules around Harry and Meghan’s commercial projects and overseas appearances.
The report also suggests that William would want any agreement to be legally binding rather than based on a private promise. According to the source, he no longer believes an informal understanding would be enough to protect the family from future disputes.
These claims have not been officially confirmed by Kensington Palace or representatives for the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Meanwhile, King Charles is reportedly continuing to encourage his sons to repair their relationship. The monarch is said to be increasingly frustrated by the long-running feud and hopes the brothers can find a way forward.
