Prince William has shared a heartfelt message of support after England’s tournament campaign ended with a defeat against Argentina.
The Prince of Wales took to his official Instagram account on Wednesday to praise the team’s performance and determination.
“Gutted. England, you gave it everything and we are all so proud of you,” he wrote.
“Thank you to everyone on and off the pitch for an incredible tournament. The fight and belief you have shown has inspired us all.”
William concluded his message by describing the squad as “the most complete England team in a tournament” and encouraging the players to hold their heads high.
His public message comes amid reports that he is feeling anxious about a possible visit by his younger brother, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle.
An unnamed source told Closer Magazine that Kate Middleton is deeply concerned about her husband’s emotional state.
“Kate has never seen William this tormented, and it’s breaking her heart because there’s nothing she can really do,” the insider claimed.
The source further alleged that William has been restless and struggling to sleep because of concerns surrounding Harry and Meghan’s visit.
