King Charles reportedly met Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, for the first time since 2022.
A royal commentator has made fresh claims about Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children’s reported reunion with King Charles in the UK.
Writing in his Naughty But Nice Substack, Rob Shuter cited unnamed royal insiders who claimed the meeting was not simply a private family reunion.
“This wasn’t about family. It was about access,” one source alleged.
The insider claimed that Harry and Meghan’s connection to the Royal Family remains one of their most valuable public assets.
According to the source, a photograph of the couple and their children with King Charles could have shifted public perceptions and reinforced their continued connection to the monarchy.
“A smiling photograph with the King would have instantly reset the narrative, reinforced their status and reminded everyone that they still belong in the royal conversation,” the source claimed.
The palace reportedly confirmed that a private family gathering took place but did not release any photographs. None are expected to be made public.
Shuter further claimed that the absence of a photograph was a major disappointment for Meghan, alleging that securing an image with the King had been an important objective.
While the private meeting itself was significant, the insiders claimed that a photograph would have carried even greater value.
“The meeting was valuable, but the photograph was the prize,” one source said.
The source added: “Meghan understands the power of imagery better than almost anyone. A single picture with the King would have reminded the world that she and Harry are still royalty. That’s branding gold.”
The reported meeting marked King Charles’s first reunion with Archie and Lilibet since 2022.
