Prince Harry understands the complicated relationship between King Charles and Prince William better almost than anyone, according to a royal commentator
The Royal Family's “greatest challenge” has reportedly emerged as Prince Harry continues his reconciliation efforts with King Charles.
Harry recently visited the monarch and Queen Camilla with Meghan Markle and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. Royal insiders have claimed the Duke of Sussex was pleased with how the meeting unfolded.
However, royal commentator Rob Shuter believes the main difficulty facing the family goes beyond the ongoing tensions between Harry and the Palace.
According to Shuter, the real challenge is “the widening gap between a father determined to keep the door open and an heir who believes some doors should remain firmly closed.”
A source described as being close to Prince William claimed that the damage caused by Harry's memoir Spare and years of public family disputes may never completely heal.
“William’s trust is gone,” the source alleged. "Harry knows reconciliation with Charles, even in small steps, puts enormous pressure on William. He understands exactly how those dynamics play out, and he's prepared to use them when it suits him."
Another source told Shuter that although Harry lives thousands of thousands from Buckingham Palace, he understands the complicated relationship between his father and brother better than almost anyone.
The insider further claimed that Harry is willing to use those differences to his advantage.
