Sarah Ferguson is reportedly considering a return to Britain, although she is said to expect little support from the Royal Family or London’s social circles.
The former Duchess of York was recently seen in Austria following reports about her departure from Royal Lodge and loss of her royal title. She is now believed to be hoping to spend more time in the UK with her daughters, Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, as well as her grandchildren.
Royal commentator Rob Shuter made the claims in his latest Naughty But Nice Substack post, citing sources close to Sarah.
According to one insider, Sarah has privately accepted that her time as a public royal figure has come to an end. However, she reportedly remains determined to maintain a close relationship with her family.
“Sarah knows there’s no road back to public life. She’s made peace with that,” the source claimed. “What she wants now isn’t a comeback. It’s a normal family life surrounded by the people she loves.”
Friends have reportedly warned her that even a low-profile return to Britain could prove difficult.
Another source claimed Sarah understands that she is unlikely to receive a warm welcome from either the Royal Family or London society, particularly as public scrutiny surrounding Prince Andrew and her past association with Jeffrey Epstein continues.
“She’s realistic. The headlines haven’t gone away, and neither has the controversy surrounding Andrew and her friendship with Jeffrey Epstein,” the source said.
Sarah was reportedly last seen publicly in spring 2026 at the Mayrlife wellness clinic in Altaussee, Austria. Photographs also appeared to show her staying at a secluded retreat in the Austrian Alps.
The latest claims emerged just days after reports that King Charles had privately reunited with Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and their children amid ongoing tensions within the Royal Family.
