Prince William is reportedly growing increasingly frustrated with King Charles as attitudes toward Prince Harry and Meghan Markle begin to soften within the royal household.
According to a source quoted by Heat, the Prince of Wales believes the ongoing Sussex drama is taking attention away from more important royal matters and creating an even deeper divide within the family.
The insider claimed William “can scarcely believe” that several key palace aides are now openly changing their position on the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.
Some staff members are reportedly urging senior royals to respect the King’s wishes, which could mean turning the other cheek and giving Harry and Meghan a fresh start.
The alleged shift comes as Harry continues his efforts to rebuild ties with the Royal Family. However, William is said to view the situation as “lunacy” and potentially damaging to the Crown.
The source also claimed that William resents how much attention the Sussex dispute continues to receive, distracting the family from its wider responsibilities.
“It’s bewildering and enraging all at the same time,” the insider said, adding that William has now stopped trying to make sense of his father’s approach.
Although he reportedly hopes someone else can persuade Charles to reconsider, William is said to have little confidence that will happen.
“He’s not counting on it,” the source added, “and he’s through wasting his breath.”
