Kate Middleton has reportedly been left emotionally drained after her attempts to ease tensions between Prince William and King Charles failed to bring them closer.
According to Woman’s Day, the Princess of Wales has found herself caught in the middle of an alleged father-son dispute over Charles’ efforts to reconcile with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Described as a natural “peacemaker,” Kate reportedly tried to intervene and has repeatedly encouraged William to “go easy” on his father. However, sources claim her appeals have done little to heal the growing divide.
“Being caught in the middle has become emotionally exhausting, and the fact is things have gotten so explosive, anything she does risks making things worse,” a confidant told the publication.
The insider added that Kate may now have no choice but to step back and allow William and Charles to resolve their differences privately.
“All she can do now is hope they eventually find their own way back to each other,” the source said.
Despite the reported strain, Kate is said to remain hopeful that time will help repair their relationship. She reportedly understands that William feels disappointed and hurt but also believes his love for his father remains strong.
“She knows William loves his father dearly. It’s just a case of him feeling pretty let down and hurt at the end of the day, which she does understand,” the insider added.
Kate is also reportedly concerned about the effect the dispute could have on her children’s relationship with their grandfather.
“The children need their grandfather in their lives, and even if William refuses to admit it, he needs his father,” the source concluded.
